Summer Meltdown Kids
 Hidden in a magical forest, surrounded by trees and birds,
you will find a land of drums, stories, crafts and most of
all, FUN! There are endless possibilities and many friends,
old and new, waiting for you! Our intention is to provide
a nurturing environment where art, music, and imagination
can
flow freely and in turn create pathways to improving the
world around us. Sustainability, Responsibility, and Community
are
the theme of this year’s festival and our greatest
desire is to spread hope and new ideas for a better tomorrow.

The Little Seahorse Music Academy, with the help of many Meltdown musicians, will be providing musical workshops and instruction to kids at the Summer Meltdown, and their talents will be featured in a special Main Stage Showcase on Sunday at the festival. Watch summermeltdown.com for more info on the academy and how kids can sign up. We are looking for instrument donations of any type. Bring an instrument to the Wild Buffalo this Sunday and be entered in a raffle to win great prizes from the show’s sponsors . . . including Thursday admission Meltdown tickets! |

12:30-1:30 Time for an Ocarina gathering!
Do you know how an Ocarina sounds? The Ocarina is an easy-to-learn
wind instrument. In this gathering around the ‘fire’ you
will learn to play an Ocarina as a solo and a group instrument.
You will be amazed at the sounds and songs that will come
out after only 10 minutes of practice!
1:45-2:15pm Sing Along
with Rejoice Israel. Bring your vocal chords to this one!
La-La-La
2:30pm Eat a rainbow! Come and find out how good
a rainbow tastes!
3-4pm Kids Jam and Open Mic. Kids (and
parents too!) can sing, tell short stories, jokes, share
their special talents and just get creative. Anybody have
any special dances they can teach?
4-4:30pm Story Circle with
Fairy Arrianna.
5-6pm Although the Kids Area will be closing
at 5 we will be having a birthday party for Ranen from 5-6!
We will move the party out of the kids area and down to the
grassy field. Join us for games and lots of party fun!
11:30-2pm Creation station will be open for painting, drawing,
collage making and whatever else you can dream up.
2-3pm Eat
another rainbow and Open Mic! Bring your Ocarina from Friday!
3-6pm Let’s get ready for the parade.
We will be making our own musical instruments and costumes.
Come equipped with your magical creative powers! Parade will
be at 6:15! |
