Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater, Darrington WashingtonOne of the most scenic and intimate venues in the entire United States, Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater is a bit of a hidden secret, known mostly for its 30+ years of hosting the Darrington Bluegrass Festival. After having to move the festival to a few different locations in the early years, Summer Meltdown found its perfect venue, between a magnificent glacier capped mountain and a calm lazy river. The venue consists of a 40 acre playground, camping under the douglas fir trees, and plenty of on site parking and room to grow. Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater is about an hour and half northeast
of Seattle, or about the same distance southeast of Bellingham, WA. |
